The development of cabling concepts in the high-voltage on-board network is our specialty. in-Tec Bensheim advises you on cabling and plans your high-voltage and low-voltage systems including all necessary components. The delivery specifications of the German car manufacturers LV214, LV215 and LV216 or US-Car 2 and US-Car 37 for the North American market are taken into account. Of course, we do not only develop and advise, but we are also your partner for high-voltage cable assembly. With all of our services, we ensure that the drive train is electrified.

Why do we design our HV cabling concepts according to VDA standards?

The connection technology in the HV area must be designed for high currents and at the same time be easy to use. The systems are complex and the demands on the reliability of the individual components and their interfaces are high.

Which requirements are there?
The individual product requirements for high-voltage connectors are defined in the delivery specifications of the German car manufacturers LV214, LV215 and LV216. US-Car 2 and US-Car 37 specify the requirements for the North American market. Depending on the application, we naturally take these requirements into account when planning your project.

Development of secure HV connections

The mobile market is changing dramatically. Particularly in the commercial vehicle sector, vehicles with electric drive are being developed away from the major production lines and, whenever possible, existing vehicle lines are being converted.

The on-board network development comprises many sub-areas. Not only the HV connection of the the hybrid and electric vehicles’ droves with high-voltage cables and high-voltage connection technologies require professional solutions. Other components, such as on-board fuse boxes , battery module connector or driver comfort systems need to be securely integrated and connected. In addition to the connections in the high-voltage on-board network, we are also planning the integration and cabling of the LV on-board network or the construction of the high-voltage PDU (Power Distribution Unit).
The performance classes

High-voltage cables for the electric drive train with a power requirement greater than 12 KW are therefore becoming increasingly important. The voltage level and the transmittable current quantity are divided into corresponding performance classes. 400 volts and 250 amps are common in passenger cars and up to 800 volts and up to 600 amps in commercial vehicles.
