Areas of application

Powertrain electrification is not limited to the automotive sector. in-Tec Bensheim supports customers from a large number of different industries. To date, in-Tec Bensheim has already realised more than 300 projects. You can find an excerpt in the Case Studies.

Transport vehicles

Buses, trucks, vans or baggage tugs: the development that is already taking place in local public transport is also seen in other areas of the transport vehicle market. Increasingly, the decision falls on hybrid or electric motors. Fast-charging stations ensure that vehicles are charged to 80% of their capacity within a few minutes. in-Tec Bensheim ensures the right connection for commercial vehicle lines, also for smaller production volumes.

Off-highway electrification

The future of off-road vehicles is in electric and hybrid powertrains: The mobile industry is already working at full speed to develop solutions that will adapt the electrical infrastructure of construction machines, such as dump trucks, loaders or excavators, transporters, and trucks. In the future, the agricultural sector will also rely on electrically-powered agricultural machinery, such as tractors or harvesters. in-Tec Bensheim helps to determine the optimum solution for the wiring of high-voltage systems in use in off-highway electrification.

Ships and airplanes

Concepts for electrically-operated inland waterway vessels, ferries, tugboats or yachts have been launched and are being implemented successfully. In research and development, the focus is also on resource-preserving aviation. The first aircrafts with electric engines have already taken off and passed the test with flying colours. in-Tec Bensheim also has the right know-how when it comes to selecting the right high-voltage plug connections and cables for the electrification of marine and aviation applications.

Industrial machines

Especially for industrial machines that are deployed by municipalities, the benefits offered by electric mobility are obvious: all-purpose vehicles or sweepers operate significantly more quietly than vehicles with diesel engines. Another benefit is the “zero emission” at the site of operation. This applies especially in cities suffering from high particulate matter levels and nitrogen oxide pollution, such as Stuttgart. However, other industrial machines used in production, such as forklifts, also benefit from electrification: a hybrid or electric powertrain increases efficiency while reducing costs at the same time. in-Tec Bensheim supports you in selecting the right high-voltage cabling components during the development phase.
